Jonathan represents oil and gas exploration and production companies in a variety of transactional matters relating to oil and gas exploration, production, distribution, and marketing. His practice focuses primarily on title examination, due diligence, curative, communitization agreements, and other oil and gas instruments related to acquisitions and divestitures of producing and nonproducing oil and gas assets.

Prior to joining the firm, Jonathan gained hands-on experience across multiple segments of the energy industry. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 2005 to 2009. He subsequently worked in the west Texas oilfield on drill-outs and completions, before transitioning to the midstream sector, where he focused on the importation of crude products in North America, and later to the downstream sector, where he developed an understanding of the refining and distillation process. Prior to joining the firm, Jonathan worked at a firm where he focused on federal lease title opinions in New Mexico, and at an oil and gas company focused on asset valuation and the repackaging and divestiture of oil and gas properties.
